Keyword Density Checking
by Derek in Keyword Analyzer
While keyword density is no longer an SEO technique, it is all too easy to accidentally keyword stuff your articles without realising, especially when writing about a subject you are unfamiliar with. This can cause you to trigger Google’s spam filtering, definitely something you don’t want to do.
Also, for a long time EzineArticles have had guidelines regarding the number of times a keyword may appear in an article. These were manually checked and the keyword frequency allowed would often differ between submissions. That was until recently when they added automatic checking of excessive keyword phrase occurrences into their submission form. The limit is set at a frequency of 2% and the submission form flags this up in real-time.
Now that isn’t too much of a problem is you write your own articles, although discovering you have breached the limit part way through the submission form can be frustrating. It does become a real issue if you have outsourced your article writing, such as on Elance or Guru.com, and then find the articles have excessive keyword counts. And that is is why I wrote Keyword Anayzer, both for Elance providers and for myself to check the articles received.
